For me, calmness is the royal road. Calmness is not the same as indifference. Calmness allows for a soothing, calming distance, a change of perspective and a neutral, transfigured view. Calmness takes away the threatening and ensures rational action. The 'king head' with a great overview, a rock in a roaring sea. 

A desirable companion of calmness is confidence. Although rain cleans, it still requires the confidence that rainy phases of your life will pass by like a black cloud and give us the long-awaited view of the blue sky again.
