Receiving flowers of any kind from fellow human beings is becoming increasingly rare. Society has changed, the elbow mentality and selfishness are becoming more and more prevalent. There is a lack of moderation, of appropriateness. Self-presentation and self-aggrandizement are commonplace, often intended to cover something up, to numb, to distract from the real underlying problem. But without the ability and willingness to self-reflect, change cannot be expected. What a pity. It would be worth it in any case.

Give yourself flowers, every day, in whatever form, and create an ‘island’ at least once a day. Or even take a whole day, like in the song ‘Heut hab ich Zeit’ by Silbermond. A beautiful text that contains truths.
